Book 1; Trapped; Kevin Hearne

From Barnes and Noble;

"After twelve years of secret training, Atticus O’Sullivan is finally ready to bind his apprentice, Granuaile, to the earth and double the number of Druids in the world. But on the eve of the ritual, the world that thought he was dead abruptly discovers that he’s still alive, and they would much rather he return to the grave.

Having no other choice, Atticus, his trusted Irish wolfhound, Oberon, and Granuaile travel to the base of Mount Olympus, where the Roman god Bacchus is anxious to take his sworn revenge—but he’ll have to get in line behind an ancient vampire, a band of dark elves, and an old god of mischief, who all seem to have KILL THE DRUID at the top of their to-do lists."

I don't write book reviews. They are just not something I enjoy doing.

(Sorry, Jen.)

I will say that this is book 5 in the Iron Druid series. This one is the best one in the series. The series reminds me of the Dresden Files by Jim Butcher.

I'm glad I kept a record of the books I read last year. I bought so few of them. Thank goodness for the library.

Hope all is going well for you.

  1. I enjoyed reading your list!

    Our libraries are still closed, all those wet books, all that damage. Even the next town's libaby is closed still...they are actually lower land, tho on the mainland. So...the good news is I had/ have my Kindle...and besides the flood damage, the libary ladies here are Not Nice. Worth every penny to me to remove that annoyance and twice weekly chore from my life. I read a LOT and, oddly, they did not like that.

  2. Glad you like Kevin Hearne ... he's local to me. If you ever want any of his paperbacks autographed, let me know ... the bookstore is about 3 miles from me and they keep plenty of his things on the shelf ...

    Oh and I have pictures of the Rula Bula from the first couple of books if you ever want to see.

    smooches,
